Melted Clock

A concept interesting and thought by the designer Florian Schaerfer, with this futuristic radio-alarm integrated directly in the mattress of the bed. The buttons appear in relief thanks to silicone. An object not marketed for the moment. More images in the continuation. (Found via www.fubiz.net)

Piano stairs

"We believe that the easiest way to change people's behaviour for the better is by making it fun to do. We call it The fun theory." -The Fun Theory.com - Rolighetsteorin.se.

Great Idea, would love to have had a go. Bring it to London!

Kasabian Football Hero

Not only does this look fun but it makes you smile when you watch it. Great tune, great idea and a totally sweet setup. Wish I had thought of it. Enough said.

Adidas Originals

Now I know it has been out for a while but I have been meaning to post it as I love the new Adidas advert. Killer soundtrack and an awesome film. However I finally pulled my finger out when I saw this really cool parody from the Simpsons which made me laugh out loud. So here it is, the original one from Adidas and the parody. Enjoy

New England Kit

As the new England kit gets ready to launch the site that has been put together for it is cool. Also love the ideas they are bringing to the table about old school tailoring and simple design. Looking forward to seeing the kit. I always find it amazing how every football fan in England can remember their first England kit & the one that the team was wearing when he started supporting them.

RJDJ - iPhone

RjDj enables music to react with the environment and turns the sounds we typically come across in a normal day into a rich orchestra of life,” continues Stefan Glaenzer, investor at RjDj. “It effectively builds a bridge between the real world and the electronic world of music – turning what has traditionally been passive sound into an engaging, interactive and highly creative experience. It also has the potential to make you feel like you have taken a large amount of hardcore drugs but they will not be using it at the priory any time soon....... I don't think!

Click here to see the movie

Here to download the app and find out more about it

Or here to have a look at other RJDJ scenes

Shout out to Cpluv where I found this.

The big em.... not so bad city

It has been a while since my last post and I am finally starting to feel settled in the cauldron that is London. After spending the first month in Kensington I have now headed further north and am now living in Islington, initial impressions are that it's a really cool place with loads of atmosphere so I am looking forward to exploring it. I am loving work and everyone is very nice and helping me settle, consequentially I am starting to feel more at home here already. Anyway enough soppy shite and lets have a look at some lovely stuff. Obviously I have been saving links like the proverbial squirrel before winter but I thought I should be more focused and go down a photography theme for this post rather than vomit a huge amount of links out. Some of these are dated but still worth a look so get clicking and enjoy.

Navi - World of Timers

Navi is (and I quote)... "a new generation interactive media studio based in Istanbul, Turkey". They have created this brilliant tool in which you can declare your thoughts, prophecies, goals, wills etc to the world and set up a timer to signal your intent. Clever, inventive and beautifully executed!

Burger King: Whopper Freakout

Campaign for Burger King which has done well for itself at the Cannes Cyber Lions awards. Interesting concept where they pretend the Whopper has been discontinued and then film the customers reactions. Personally I don't know whether after watching this I feel that the Whopper is 'America's favorite burger' or just that too many people eat too much fast food! Whatever your opinion more details can be found here, right, im off out for a burger now.

The Girl Effect

Great new website by W&K and Grow Interactive. Little research has been done to understand how investments in girls impact economic growth and the health and well-being of communities. This lack of data reveals how pervasively girls have been overlooked. For millions of girls across the developing world, there are no systems to record their birth, their citizenship, or even their identity. However, the existing research suggests their impact can reach much farther than expected. This website highlights these issues and points a way forward.

Dubai plans 'moving' skyscraper

A colleague found this on the BBC News Website. An interesting idea to create the worlds first 'moving building'. The Dynamic Tower design is made up of 80 pre-fabricated apartments which will spin independently of one another. The 420-metre (1,378-foot) building's apartments would spin a full 360 degrees, at voice command, around a central column by means of 79 giant power-generating wind turbines located between each floor. The apartments, which will take between one and three hours to make a complete rotation, will cost from $3.7m to $36m. Click here to read the full article and watch the BBC News Video

Mentos: Kiss Fight

The best flash game I have come across this year along with the Coke Zero game (both created by North Kingdom incidentally). Not only is Kiss Fight beautifully executed but also hugely entertaining and very addictive until you complete it. Click here to play!

Brand Tags

A simple but ingenious idea. At brand tags your shown a brand, you type the first thing that pops into your head and then have a look at what everyone else things in a nice visual way (the more times a word has been used the larger it appears) Created by Noah Brier from Naked communications.

Vodaphone Webstreak

A brilliant banner campaign and funny microsite that allows you to 'streak' across any website you want. All in the name of 'feeling unrestricted'
